
Katelyn Amato is an Emmy nominated and Ohio Associated Press Award-winning TV News Producer.
Katelyn serves as Executive Producer – Nightside and produces First News at 11 P.M. Katelyn started at WKBN in March 2020, producing First News at 10 on Fox Youngstown. Her work earned her APME Award’s Best Producer of 2021.
Katelyn graduated from West Virginia University in 2015. During her time as a Mountaineer, Katelyn interned at Froggy Radio 104.3 in Pittsburgh and worked as a freelance reporter for the Charleston Gazette-Mail in Charleston, WV.
Katelyn’s producing career began in 2016 at WTOV in Steubenville, OH, where she produced the 5 p.m. newscast and served as Assignment Editor. She then moved to Columbus, where she worked as the weekend evening producer at WSYX. Next, she moved closer to home to work as an Associate Producer at WPXI in Pittsburgh.
Born and raised in Columbiana County, Katelyn is a proud 2011 graduate of East Liverpool High School. When she’s not working, Katelyn likes to listen to music, read, babysit her nephews and play with her dog, Cami.
