Joe Gorman

Joe Gorman joined the WKBN 27 First News digital team in September 2019 as a digital reporter.

Joe is a life long resident of the Mahoning Valley, graduating from Ursuline High School in 1985 and later Youngstown State University in 1995, where he earned a degree in history.

An established and experienced journalist, spending his career working in print media before joining WKBN-27, Joe began his career with The Record Argus newspaper from 1995 to 1997. In 1999, Joe joined the Warren Tribune Chronicle, establishing himself as a well-known and respected reporter until 2013. His career then took him to the Youngstown Vindicator from 2013 until 2019.

His journalism career has earned Joe a number of accolades and awards including a 2013 Associated Press award as a top beat news writer. He has also received notice for Best Public Service in 2015 and Best Breaking News in 2017.

A resident of Trumbull County, Joe enjoys spending his time away from the newsroom with his three children as well as photography.

What he enjoys the most about his work in journalism is simple: the people.
