Ashley Bell joined the WKBN team in April 2023. She will work as a multi-media journalist and tell the community’s stories.
Ashley Grew up in Ashtabula, Oh and graduated from Lakeside High School. Soon after graduation, she relocated to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Ashley Graduated Cum Laude from Norfolk State University earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism. She is a member of Hampton Roads Black Media Professionals, a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and she also interned at 13 News Now in Norfolk, Virginia
Ashley enjoys interacting with people and finding creative ways to tell their stories. Her plans are to establish herself as a trusted journalist for the people.
In her spare time, she attends church, reads, travels, and spends time with family and friends.
