
Production Associate C. Aileen Blaine has been working for WKBN since 2022, assisting with a variety of behind-the-scenes tasks, including camera operations during live studio and Game of the Week broadcasts, website content managing and graphics element productions for newscasts.
Aileen grew up in Warren, Ohio, and graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College at Youngstown State University with a major in journalism and minors in Spanish and sociology.
Prior to starting at WKBN, Aileen wrote for Youngstown State University’s student newspaper The Jambar for two years, acting as news editor and student life editor during her time there. She covered topics such as events, protests and resources available on campus. Aileen also served as a contributor and editor to the student publication Yo Magazine over the course of three years and has been recognized by the SCJ for her multimedia work. She also completed an internship with Ohio Magazine in which she wrote and compiled materials for the publication.
In her free time, Aileen enjoys baking sweet treats, taking hikes and checking out various venues and events in Youngstown, Ohio.
