Stockings for Soldiers Silent Auction

Whispering Oaks Retirement Community, 260 S. Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage,PA invites the community to our silent auction held on Saturday, November 7th from 2-5pm. All proceeds will assist us in sending packages overseas to our active-duty military.  In the past four years, Whispering Oaks has sent over 450 packages to our soliders in time for Christmas.  Early bidding is available Sat., Oct. 31st from 2-4pm and Thurs., Nov. 5th from 4:30-7:00pm.  Over 37 items will be up for auction including gift certificates to local restaurants, an autographed book from former Pittsburgh Steeler, Jerome Bettis and autographed photo of Pittsburgh Steeler, Troy Polamalu, tickets to sporting events, and many, many more.  Musical groups, Picks and Hammers and Penn-Ohio Singers will perform Sat., Nov. 7th to assist in our fundraising efforts. All monies raised go directly to the cost of shipping the packages overseas.
