With 5:45 remaining, Jacob Wolfe connected on a 44-yard touchdown toss to Tyler Evan to take the lead. The Bulldog defense permitted just 4.5 yards per play (257 yards on 57 offensive plays) while forcing 4 turnovers.
-The Spartans trailed by 14 (28-14) at the half to Mooney; however, were unable to get any closer as they fell to 0-2 following their 42-14 loss. Boardman's defense allowed the Cardinals' running game to nearly gain 400 yards.
