Thunder Drops Fifth Straight
The Mahoning Valley Thunder lost its fifth straight game, with a 77-47 blowout loss to the Wilkes-Barre-Scranton Pioneers.  Thunder Receiver Henry Tolbert hauled in nine passes for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the loss.  Former Pitt Running Back Tim Murphy finished the night one yard shy of an af2 single-game rushing record with 94 yards on seven carries.  The Pioneers were led by Quarterback Ryan Vena, who completed 22-32 passes for 304 yards and eight touchdowns.  The Thunder fall to 1-5, and return to action Saturday night at Lexington.  Kickoff is set for 7:05PM.
