Thunder Falls to Manchester
|
A late touchdown was called back as the clock expired, sending the Mahoning Valley Thunder to a 45-39 loss to the Manchester Wolves Saturday night. Quarterback Josh Swogger found DeMarcus Mathes in the endzone with what appeared to be the game-tying score. Upon review by the officiating crew, the score was called-back, ending the game. For the game, Swogger completed 21-42 passes for 177 yards and five touchdowns. Thunder wide receiver DeMarcus Mathes caught five passes for 52 yards and three scores in the losing effort. With the loss, the Thunder fall to 1-1. They return to action next Friday night at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
