Not many people would want to get close enough for an ostrich to even think about biting an ear, but 13-year old Anthony is loving this trip to Wagon Trails Animal Park in Vienna. He's delighted to get up close with the animals and even tries (vo @ 12:32) to pet this hungry, aggressive big bird.

Anthony lives with a foster family that has many animals. He's no stranger to feeding them, rising every morning to take care of the horses.

But his interests aren't limited to animals.

He runs track, likes movies, music, and reading books. He even writes his own stories.

Anthony talks sweetly about what makes a family and what kind of family he would like.

His caseworker says they're working to honor Anthony's wishes and find him a lasting home.

Anthony has said that what matters most about a family is their heart. He's hoping to find just the right people to open their hearts to him.
