One local company is making quite a name for itself, not only in the Valley, but across the country. Valley Electrical Consolidated in Girard is trying to keep up with a thriving industry. In tonight's salute to Success, in partnership with the regional chamber we take a look at one project that's keeping the company going.
America, and much of the world, is becoming increasingly electrified. And Valley Electrical Consolidated Incorporated, in Girard, is no exception. They come close to doing it all, you may recognize some of their projects, like the new paint shop at General Motors in Lordstown. And the new Warren G. Harding High School, all 200-thousand square feet of it, still under construction.
Projects don't exist only on a local level, Valley has traveled as far as Arizona, to keep sales powered! A Jump from six million to forty million annually in the last ten years, to be exact.
You're going to have issues all around the country that you're going to need to address and you're going to need workers to do that. And Valley has them, employing more than two hundred skilled workers, mostly from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 64-573. They have a lot of really talented people here. Including Ferry's own family, his two daughters, Tricia and Rachel, a son-in-law, Jeff, and of course his wife, Mary.
