Unresolved Issues

It's been a little more than a week since the Newton Falls teachers ended their strike and returned to the classroom, but the issues that caused the walk out still need to be solved.

Both sides have agreed to go to binding arbitration to resolve the issues.

Schools Superintendent Dave Wilson says both sides are going through the list of arbitrators and will soon decide on one. Once that person is chosen a date will be set to hear both sides.

Wilson says he is hoping to have the matter heard in the next thirty to sixty days and also says the district is slowly getting back to normal following the strike and the students appear to be doing very well.
