He asked the board to consider adding two more members, bringing the total up to five.
Belinky serves as the appointing authority, and believes there needs to be more representation from all parts of Mahoning County. Currently all three members are from Boardman.
"When the whole county is paying the tax, including areas Austintown...Sebring and even Youngstown who doesn't have a board representative. I think we should try to expand the board to give as much of these areas that have not been represented on the board a say.", explains Belinky.
The current Mill Creek Board members disagree with Judge Belinky. They say a three person board is enough to handle the parks thirteen million dollar budget.
And they believe creating several advisory boards will help increase community representation.
