A major Pittsburgh rail way is stopped after a train derails right here in the valley.
Railway crews are still cleaning up after two trains collide in Salem late Wednesday night.
Around nine thirty in the evening, a train engineer says he pulled his emergency break after seeing someone standing on the tracks in front of him. Minutes later another train ran into the back of the stopped train causing dozens of cars to go off the tracks and actually breaking some of the rails themselves.
Salem Police say the man standing in the tracks causing all of this has been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
Norfolk Southern Rail Company says there was hazardous materials on the second train but nothing was exposed.
Chief Floor says he expects all of the crossings to be open later Thursday afternoon, except for New Garden Avenue which he says could take a few days to get reopened.
