In Automotive News...a new tentative agreement could end an 11-week United Auto Workers strike.American Axle boosted its wage offer.The agreement still must be voted on by about 36-hundred workers at five plants in New York and Michigan. Since the strike began in February....its crippled production at about 30 General Motors Corporation assembly plants across North America...and caused thousands of layoffs at other parts supply companies.
