Facing possible impeachment, Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann has resigned amid the scandal of a sexual harassment investigation in his office and his extramarital affair.  He says he's stepping down to protect the integrity of the attorney general's office.

Over the last ten days, Dann refused to resign, despite demands by Governor Strickland and others within the Democratic party. 

On May 2nd, Dann admitted to an extramarital affair with an employee.  He felt that his affair contributed to an atmosphere leading to the sexual harassment claims against a top aide and the departure of three others.

Dann was also troubled by the growing number of investigations into conduct at his office, and the filing yesterday of articles of impeachment against him.
