A Mercer County man is still in critical condition Monday morning after police say a drunk driver slammed into his horse-drawn buggy.
Twenty-nine year old Benjamin Kempf is in critical condition at St. Elizabeth's. Kempf and four small children in the buggy were hit by a car on Route 358 in Perry Township Saturday night. Police say thirty-eight year old Jennifer Crenshaw of Geneva was drunk when she crossed the center line, hit a utility pole and then slammed into the buggy. Three of the children are at Children's hospital in Pittsburgh. The fourth is in stable condition at St. Elizabeth's.
Crenshaw suffered minor injuries and is facing five counts of aggravated assault while driving under the influence.
