$0.23 Pizzas A Slam Dunk by Dan Martin

"It's awesome, it's a miracle all of Youngstown isn't here.", says Jim from Youngstown.

But it sure looked like they were.  Papa John's locations in the Valley joined fifty other stores across northeast Ohio to offer one large one topping pizza per person for twenty-three cents!  It's an apology, after several Washington D.C. area Papa John's passed out T-shirts to Wizards fans with the company logo, the number 23, and the word crybaby.  The shirts showed up at Friday's playoff game to taunt LeBron James, who complained of hard fouls during the series.  So to make it up to Cavs fans, Papa John's came up with a deal fit for a king.

"Somebody made a mistake so, they're paying.  It's a good idea, I mean, everybody loves pizza.", says Chuck from Boardman.

But not every Cavs fan is ready to kiss and make up so easily.

"One day's not going to do anything but, I mean, I'll still boycott them the rest of the year, but I'll do it one day for twenty-three cents.", says Josh from Poland.

The owner of Papa John's local franchises says they expect to sell up to two thousand pizzas at each store, but actual sales far exceeded expectations.  Local owners say they had to stop the twenty-three cent sale here in Youngstown Thursday afternoon, because they simply ran out of pizzas to make.  People standing in line got vouchers to redeem at a later time.  All proceeds from the twenty-three cent pizzas will go to the LeBron James Family Fund.
