Holiday Shopping Returns by Dan Martin

Just a few days ago, crowds of people were walking out of stores with their arms full of shopping bags.  On Wednesday, many of those bags and boxes came back into the stores for post-holiday returns and exchanges.  The lines weren't as long as you might expect at Best Buy in Boardman, where Jennifer and Sylvia Pociask were taking care of a few things before they head out of town.

The sisters say, "It was good, not a problem, customer service is great.  And very fast, not a line at all."

Best Buy Department Supervisor Jack McLaughlin adds,"It goes pretty smooth, we have a really nice set-up where the lines are organized and we're ready to get stuff back to the floor so people that are coming in can re-buy what all we have."

McLaughlin says Best Buy has extended its return policy until January 31st, which might have cut down on the number of people running out to return things the next day.

Over at Kohl's, they had their share of returns and exchanges this morning as well, and also some bargain hunters, looking for those day after Christmas deals.

"I got Santa's, and wrapping paper, and Christmas ornaments and all kinds of things. And how were the markdowns today? Wonderful, 70 percent off!"  says Maureen Dyke of Connersville, Indiana.

But what about the malls?  Eastwood was full of students who had the day off of school with money and gift cards to burn.

Shaun Simpson says, "I came with my cousin because we both wanted to get some stuff, because you know I got Christmas money."

"There's so much today that, 50 percent off, even more, I think Macy's is even 60 percent." says John Hoostel.

So if you thought the holiday shopping craze was over, brace yourself-- it's only just begun.
