Warren crime activity: Woman says she pretended to sleep on couch during break-in

Wednesday, May 9

12:31 a.m. - 3100 block of Clearwater St. NW, reported home burglary. The victim told police someone threw a brick through his window to get in.

5:04 a.m. - 1600 block of Jefferson St. SW, a woman reported a burglary at her home. She said she pretended to be asleep on the couch when she heard an intruder come in and leave about a minute later.

10:42 a.m. - 400 block of Pine Ave. SE, John Beeler, 60, of Niles, arrested and charged with public indecency. Police said Beeler exposed his genitals to another man near NEOCAP, a community-based corrections center. Beeler said he did it because he hadn't been laid in a while and was trying to get laid, according to a police report.

Friday, May 11

1:49 a.m. - 200 block of South St. SE, police said someone threw a large rock through the window of South Central Tire. Nothing seemed to be missing.

Monday, May 14

12:18 a.m. - 2400 block of Parkman Rd. NW, breaking and entering at Sorrento Pizzeria. Police said the security bars had been pulled off the window and there was a brick laying on the floor, but nothing seemed to be missing.

3:45 a.m. - 800 block of Niles Rd. SE, breaking and entering at Warren Marble and Granite. A rock had been thrown through the front glass door, but it didn't seem like anything had been taken, according to a police report.
