GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) - Monday, April 9
10:49 a.m. - 500 block of Churchill Rd., the door to a storage shed was forced open, but no items were taken.
8:30 p.m. - 100 block of E. Howard St., police said two residents received fliers detailing a criminal case and warnings about potential dangers from China, ISIS and a U.S. government murder plot. The fliers were placed in the doors and on mailboxes by an unknown person. Police said the papers also mentioned a Facebook page, which contains "more of the incomprehensible warnings and ramblings" and appears to be linked to an individual from Pittsburgh.
8:45 p.m. - 100 block of Maple Ave., theft of change from a vehicle.
Thursday, April 12
6:09 a.m. - 400 block of Illinois Ave., theft of a 2004 Ford Taurus, which was unlocked with the keys left inside. The vehicle was later found in Youngstown, according to a police report.
9:18 a.m. - 300 block of Illinois Ave., theft of a purse from a vehicle. The window was broken.
9:33 a.m. - 300 block of Ohio Ave., theft of a purse from a vehicle. Police said the driver's side window of the vehicle was broken. The purse was later found nearby with its contents scattered on the ground.
9:58 a.m. - 400 block of Iowa Ave., a man reported finding a purse in his backyard. The owner of the purse said $10 was missing from it. She said it was in her vehicle and the doors were locked. Police said the vehicle wasn't damaged.
Friday, April 13
3:18 p.m. - 100 block of Morris Ave., a woman reported that her young daughter received an explicit photo, presumed to be male genitalia, from their neighbor via text message. The woman said when she blocked the man's number, the photos were deleted. Police are investigating.
Saturday, April 14
3:20 p.m. - 400 block of E. Kline St., police were called to the area on a report that someone fired a gun. A man told police he accidentally shot the gun while he was cleaning it, firing a round into his deck in the backyard. No one was injured.
3:45 p.m. - 100 block of Stambaugh St., reported theft of a jar containing cash and change from a vehicle.
Sunday, April 15
1 a.m. - 100 block of Cherry St., a woman told police someone cut the caution tape she had placed at the end of her driveway. She said she has had ongoing issues with neighbors that try to infringe on her property, and she believed they may be responsible.
12:49 p.m. - 500 block of Ward Ave., a man reported that someone threw clementines and soy sauce packets in his yard. He told police it has been an ongoing problem.
6:02 p.m. - 700 block of Trumbull Ave., a man was charged with aggravated menacing. A medic told police that he threatened to shoot her after he was treated for a suspected drug overdose. Police said he previously admitted to ingesting cocaine, heroin and LSD.
