Sex Scandal Banishes Pastor From the Clergy

Dale Giffin, formerly of the Zion Lutheran Church on Canfield Road, will spend the next 30 days under house arrest and 2 years on probation after pleading "guilty" to misdemeanor assault charges. 

In February Giffin was indicted for allegedly raping a female member of his congregation.  As part of his sentence, Giffin, who lives in Canfield, can never again serve in the clergy.
