The night before Thanksgiving tends to be one of the biggest days of the year for local bars.

With that in mind, the Mahoning County OVI Task Force warns that drivers should plan ahead. If you are going to be out having a few drinks, officials said, designate a driver or have someone pick you up.

The task force will set up a zero tolerance blitz somewhere in the county beginning at 11 p.m.

The task force's Tracy Styka said about 13 officers will patrol a particular jurisdiction.

"They will be on the move," she said. "So we will be out there looking for the impaired drivers, so we are not going to be in that one spot waiting for the drivers to come to us. We are going to be looking for them."

Task force officials also said drivers should remember to buckle up when getting behind the wheel.
