The hostess of a local children's show seen here on WKBN in the late 1950s has passed away.

Rosemary Nadzam died at the age of 78.

"Miss Rosemary" was the first host of Romper Room, and many people remember how she would talk about looking through a magic mirror to see the children in her TV audience.

Nadzam leaves behind her husband, a son and four daughters. Her funeral was Tuesday morning at Saint Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Youngstown.

I didn't know romper room was a local show. I watched it in the 70's and early 80's unless they were reruns. How cool that it was here! "I see susie and bobby and ...". God Bless!
