The Trumbull County grand jury indicted seven people in a theft ring, in which detectives recovered more than $150,000 in stolen goods.

The secret indictments were issued late last week. All of the suspects have been arrested and will soon appear in court.

Detectives in several jurisdictions, including Girard, Hubbard Township and the Ohio State Highway Patrol, worked on the investigation for about 8 months. Investigators recovered more than 50 stolen items.

Most of the items are landscaping tools and ATVs.

"They were targeting unattended storage buildings, stealing cars, trucks, trailers, lawnmowers, stole over $150,000 worth of property," said Lt. Michael Orosz with the OSP.

Orosz said they believe the theft ring spanned from Trumbull County, to southern Ohio, to Lewisburg by Akron and possibly into Pennsylvania. Police found the majority of the stolen goods several months ago when they searched buildings on Hazelwood Avenue in Youngstown and Bellwick Road in Hubbard Township.
