It hasn't been attempted in 11 years.
But this weekend Boardman's Joe Sylvester plans to make Monster Truck history.
In 1999, the legendary Big Foot set a distance jumping record of 202 feet.
This Sunday at the Miller Farm in Columbus, Pa., Sylvester will attempt to break that world record. It's something even top veterans in the sport haven't tried to do.
Sylvester is the youngest independent owner and driver in the Monster Truck Business. His truck bares the name: Bad Habit.
Some are asking Joe if he's crazy for risking his life.
"Maybe some other guys haven't attempted it because they're not crazy enough," he said. "Maybe they're not willing to take that risk on their equipment or their bodies, but I'm confident I can do it. I'm confident in my abilities, my equipment and my family and friends, my mechanics."
Sunday at 9:30 a.m. a sold out bus of about 40 people will leave the Shepherd Self Storage parking lot in Boardman to travel to Miller Farm for the event. Tickets can still be purchased through Baker Hill Motorsports.
