Police found drugs and video gambling machines inside a Poland Avenue tavern late Thursday, arresting several on gambling and drug charges.

Members of the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force conducted the raid at Riverbend Tavern about 5:30 p.m. on suspicion of drug activity there.

Owners Larry Meenachan, 58, of Struthers, and John Messar, 59, of Austintown, were arrested on gambling charges. Four bar patrons were arrested on drug charges.

Police believe drugs were being sold inside the bar, which is now closed for business. Both undercover officers and K9 units were used in the sting.
