Your mother probably told you the importance of good posture, and it's likely your golf instructor will, too. Start by standing up straight with your feet shoulder-width apart. Begin with your feet pointed straight ahead, then spread your leading foot out about 30 degrees. Hold your club out at a 90-degree angle from your body. Now lean forward, letting your arms drop naturally, until the club head is about an inch above the ground. Finally, flex your knees until the club head touches the ground. Now you're in the perfect position to hit the ball. If you follow this procedure before every shot, you should find that the perfect golfing posture soon becomes second nature.
