Today, a wide range of colored roofing materials are available. The outside appearance of your house is important. Since, your roof is a long-term asset, you'll want its color to complement your home. It's a good idea to first coordinate your roof to the body or siding of your home. This can help you determine the best color for your roof. Pale houses tend to use white, black, brown, green, gray, red, or beige composite shingles. Darker houses may look better with earth toned roofs. Wood shingles may have their color altered by applying stains and preservatives. Colors are also available in tile or cement composite shingles. Special ordering for specific colors may be required. For more advice on choosing the roof color, contact a roofing specialist.
