For the past 13 years, the 27 First News Caring for Our Community Campaign has worked to make a difference in people’s lives throughout the community.  Teaming up with our sponsor partners, we participate in a variety of events throughout the year.

We have awarded thousands of dollars to local students who participate in our annual Tom Holden Memorial Scholarship Contest.  Plus, over the past 11 years, our Kids Identi-kit program has kept over 37,000 children safe by providing them with identification cards and emergency information booklets.  And, whether it’s reading to children at area libraries, or ringing the bell for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, these are just some of the ways that 27 First News and our sponsors work to Care for Our Community.

We strive to make a difference in the community – and we have.  By participating alongside our sponsors, we work hands-on to make the Valley a better place for us all.  We are local people working as one to make a difference in our community.  The success of this campaign is because of those that are involved –   The DeBartolo Corporation, InfoCisionHuntington Victory Christian Center,  and 27 First News, where your news comes first.
