PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police in Philadelphia are questioning the owner of a car that hit 8-year-old twin sisters.
Witnesses tell police it was around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when Eryca and Kaitlyn Bradfield were crossing the street in the city's Lawncrest neighborhood. Neighbors say they were headed to a corner store to get candy.
While in the intersection, both were hit by a gray Lincoln Town Car that neighbors say didn't stop.
The twins were taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. One sister is reported to be in critical condition, while the other is suffering minor bumps and bruises.
Police say the witnesses took down the license plate number. Detectives say they've spoken to the owner of the car, and the investigation continues.
