The Mahoning Valley has gained national recognition once again.
This time, Forbes magazine ranked the Youngstown, Warren and Boardman area 25th on its list of America's Best Bang For Your Buck Cities.
The magazine used each area's housing market, employment, cost of living and quick commutes to rate the 100 largest metropolitan areas across the country. That makes the Mahoning Valley one of the most affordable places to live and work in the U.S. and the most affordable area of its size in which to live and work in Ohio.
All other Ohio metro areas were lower on the list. Toledo was No. 32 on the list, Akron 37, Columbus 51, Dayton 52 and the Cleveland/Elyria/Mentor area 74. Pittsburgh ranked 22 on the list.
