Jamie Roach and her 5-year-old daughter are still recovering from a Friday crash that police and prosecutors are calling an act of road rage.

"Well, right here and I got one on my back, a bruise," Mineko Roach said as she pointed out the injuries she received from Friday's crash. She was in a car seat in the backseat of her mother's car when the crash happened around 4:30 Friday afternoon.

The girl and her mother were both in Central District Court Monday morning for the arraignment of the man accused of causing the crash, that happened on Route 5 in Bazetta.

Twenty-two year old Joshua Ford is facing two charges of felonious assault. Bond was set at $20,000.

Roach says she was driving on the bypass and was letting drivers merge onto the highway, when she believe Ford got angry. She says he got in front of her and would speed up and then slow down.

"The next thing I know he was in front of me, starting and stopping, and then he cut me off," Roach said. "I lost control of my car and landed on the sign."

Her PT Cruiser landed at the bottom of the Larchmont Avenue Extension road sign.

Both the mother and daughter were transported to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.

"I was angry to see that someone could do this just because he was mad," Jamie said. "He was mad just because I was letting someone in front of me. It was a Friday afternoon. There was traffic everywhere."

Ford's family showed up at the court but did not want to talk on camera. Ford will get his chance to speak during a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.

During the preliminary hearing, the judge will decide if there is enough evidence to have the case sent to the Trumbull County grand jury.

There is another side to this story the media is not telling. something is missing. He never hit her, she "lost" control? She "stopped" to let people go when she had the right of way? Was the woman drunk or what? She deserves a ticket as much as ford dose! I would like to know what the witness reports say, if any....and if this woman has tried to sue yet or not. that would explain a lot.

I would be extremely angy with her too. Traffic everywhere is not an excuse when there are other people on the road that also have to right to proceed without unneccessary impediments to the movement of traffic...such as this woman.
