A new state law kicked in this weekend that effects more than eight thousand restaurants, bars, and carry-outs across the state of Ohio. The law moves up the time that those businesses can sell wine and liquor on Sundays. Under the old rules beer could be sold all day, but wine and spirits couldn't be bought before 1PM that's been moved up to 11AM. One local shop tells us the changes will help especially during the holidays when business is booming.
Ryan Zocolo is a manager at Chalet Premier in North Lima. "The husband and wife family that work all week, Sunday is sometimes there day to go out and shop for their wine and liquor. So this will hopefully alleviate a lot of pain on our part, and displeasure on there part, that we can get them in here before one o'clock, get them what the need, and get them on there way."
In just the short amount of time our cameras were at Chalet Premier five customers made purchases that under the old rules they couldn't have made.
