A local golf course was supposed to open today, but Mother Nature had different plans and dumped a little white stuff on the greens.
Henry Stambaugh Golf Course on Gypsy Lane in Youngstown will open Sunday, weather permitting. Officials delayed today's opening because of snow and cold temperatures.
The opening of the city-owned course was also delayed last year because of financial problems, but eventually a golf pro was hired to manage the facility. When it does open, Stambaugh will welcome golfers seven days a week through Nov. 30.
