A Warren City school teacher went before a judge Friday morning on a felony stalking charge.

Dominic Leone, a physical education teacher for K-8th graders, is accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend.  Warren police say they confiscated a diary documenting Leone's actions.

Leone was released from the Trumbull County Jail after posting a $5000 bond.  A judge also ordered him to wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition of his release.

Leone's attorney, Mark Hanni, says he expects the case to go to trial.  "There is a presumption of innocence here.  Mr. Leone is a very well respected teacher here in the Warren City School district as well as a football coach, so I do believe there is more to this than meets the eye," Hanni said.

Warren City schools were off on Friday and the district isn't commenting on Leone's job status.  He is due back in court next month.
