The holiday season came to Sharon Thursday night.
The city held its annual light up night and the highlight was Santa's arrival....forget the reindeer. He rode up the Shenango River in the fire department's rescue boat, where a large crowd was waiting for him at the bridge. The department's aerial truck lifted him out of the boat.
Along with Santa's arrival, the evening also included the lighting of the Christmas tree and fireworks.
