Humane agents in Struthers seized nearly 2 dozen animals Thursday afternoon.

It happened on 7th Street around 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Humane Agents executed a search warrant for animal cruelty. Inside they found 2 dogs, 2 cats, 10 birds, along with several rabbits and rats.

Joe Borosky, Mahoning County Humane Agent said, "They're going to go back and get the medical treatment that is needed. They'll be evaluated. Upon evaluation, if they are adoptable, we will begin to search for new homes for them."

Borosky says the woman living inside the house is a repeat animal cruelty offender.
