Registered Sex Offender Accused of Raping Young Girl

A registered sex offender is jailed on charges he raped a 12-year-old western Pennsylvania girl after police said a neighbor contacted police after seeing the man spending a lot of time with the girl and spotting his picture on the state's Megan's Law web site.

Online court records don't list an attorney for 46-year-old Samuel Edward Ross, of Ellwood City, who is charged with rape and other sexual contact with the girl between Aug. 30 and Sept. 10.

New Castle and state police say the girl's family knew Ross and knew that he had a criminal record, but they did not know that it was for molesting a 13-year-old New Castle girl in 2003.

Police said the girl told a friend that Ross assaulted her and that came to the attention of police and child welfare workers after the neighbor's report.

Ross was arraigned on several charges, including rape of a child and sexual assault. He's being held in the Lawrence County Jail on $75,000 bond.

What a piece of trash. Put him behind bars and throw away the key. This is why parents need to watch their kids and know where they are and whom they are with at all times.

Handala you hit the nail on the head. You have an excellent understanding of the written word. Hang tuff and don’t allow organized religion to mislead you. I bet you know the “turn the other cheek” was private instructions given to the disciples before they were sent out and not given to the masses as that would make a “turn the other cheek-er” an enabler and take a part in the evil deeds they are turning the other cheek to.

Your preaching to the choir pastorman.Every time St Mary's in Warren ring the bells for an executed convict I can't help but wonder if they know Christ did NOT come to change the law,or perhaps they are unaware of the law!? I guess the Father didn't read Romans 13 in seminary!?Hmm?

Handala: I agree with you 100% as a Pastor and one whose daughter was raped 9 months ago. I have yet to find one church or any congregation that supports the death penalty for rapists / murders even though God demands that we dispatch rapists and murders. They call themselves Christians but they are nothing more than Bible thumping “Enablers” attending churches that resemble vending machines…taking in money and dispensing false teachings and traditions.
