It's a party in Poland, and the kids have plenty to celebrate.
For the third time in six years, Poland North Elementary students raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This time, they helped Anayiah Stone of Youngstown make it to Walt Disney World with her family for Christmas.
"It was wonderful. Anayiah loved it. The family loved it. I mean, words can't even explain how incredible and how truly blessed we were," said Jerilyn Cromartie, Anayiah's mother.
"We've even exceeded our initial goal of $6,000. We're sitting right now pretty close to seven, and I really think that before this night's over, we'll grant another child his or her wish," said Mike Masucci, Poland North Elementary School principal.
Radio Disney is throwing this party thanks to a generous donation from PNC Bank. Providing fun, games, prizes and, of course, plenty of music and dancing.
"I just simply picked up the phone and took a chance, and when [Radio Disney] found out it was kids helping kids, they were willing to come down with the financial support of PNC Bank," said Masucci.
"All these people are going to have a good time, but the bottom line is, this is for a very special person out there and we're glad we could be a part of it," said Jag, local Radio Disney personality.
In addition to fundraisers during the school year, raffles, bake sales and donations collected at this party will help the Poland North Elementary School family make even more dreams and wishes come true for local children.
"It just makes me feel good, how the community comes together and helps people and it's just like a domino effect. One helps another and it just keeps going," said Cromartie.
