Youngstown police are investigating a Christmas Eve robbery that happened on the city's south side.

Police said they were called to the Iron and String Life Enhancement Center on Cornell Avenue just before 8 p.m. Thursday. An employee there told police that four black males entered the building through a locked door, pointed a gun at her and demanded money.

They then locked the woman in a closet and ripped three flat screen televisions off of a wall. The four also got away with a cell phone and the employee's wallet.

Police believe the men fled in a four-door silver Cadillac.

Ummmm.....anonymous13, it happened in the ALLEY, not in the establishments you mention, so why would the establishments have to deny that it happened? I saw it with my own two eyes ON THE NEWS THAT A COUPLE WAS ROBBED IN THE ALLEY WHERE YOU MENTIONED. DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW?

Ummm...right, lindy, it WAS on the news, so the rumor has it because, of course, the establishments themselves denied it. Many people were still completely unaware of the incident and it happened again, twice, in the early am on Christmas Day.

HOW LOW CAN YOU GET THAN TO ROB A PLACE FOR MENTALLY DISABLED PEOPLE. THESE GUYS KNEW EXACTLY WHEN TO ROB AND HOW TO GET IN AND HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD BE THERE AT THAT TIME. HOW CONVENIENT FOR THEM.

I would really like to know why there has been no mention in the news of armed robberies taking place in the alley between Cedars Lounge and the Lemon Grove in the past two weeks? Is it because no one was injured? I happen to know for a fact because I was a victim of this horrible crime. The whole thing has been "swept under the rug" in the typical Youngstown manner. Why can't the people and businesses of Youngstown work together to help prevent this from happening and to help make Youngstown a successful revitalized and safe community?
