Police Continue Search for ATV Driver

Warren Township police are continuing to search for the driver of an all-terrain vehicle believed to have hit a man on a riding lawnmower last week.

A felonious assault warrant was issued Aug. 27 for Mark Meadows, 29. Police said he is accused of striking Steven Bloomquist about 6 p.m. Aug. 26, and then leaving the scene.

Neighbors said Meadows stopped for a few minutes but then fled the area. Bloomquist was mowing the lawn on Potic Drive when the crash took place. Lt. Don Bishop with the township police said they have recovered the ATV but have not been able to locate Meadows.

"We have information he fled the area so we are asking for any tips," Bishop said. ;"We will follow up on them. This was a pretty serious accident."

The victim spent a few days in a Cleveland hospital being treated for his injuries. Anyone with information on Meadows's whereabouts is asked to call Warren Township police at 330-898-5501.
