After releasing very little information regarding a weekend home invasion, Greenville police filed charges against the intruder.

Police charged Dave Keck, 46, of Waugh Avenue, with two counts of aggravated assault, and one count each of burglary and criminal mischief. Police say about 4:51 a.m. Saturday, Keck broke into the home Charles Heck, of 150 Plum St., where his estranged wife, Karen Keck, has been staying.

According to reports, Karen Keck said that her estranged husband showed up and forced his way into the Plum Street home. Once inside, reports indicate that David Keck grabbed Karen Keck around her chest and threatened to attack Charles Heck with a metal pipe.

During this time, Police reports state that David Keck was yelling," Where is he, I will kill him," referring to Heck. Heck told police after David Keck threatened him, he grabbed his pistol.

Police say Heck asked David Keck to leave his house multiple times, and instead of leaving he allegedly struck Heck with the metal pipe in his left shoulder area. Heck shot his pistol and struck David Keck, reports say.

Police say Keck told them he had been drinking and took two Klonopins before the incident.

David Keck told police that he was angry that Karen Keck left him for another man. Police Chief Dennis Stephens said no charges will be filed against Charles Heck.
