A 41-year-old Niles man will spend the next five years behind bars after pleading guilty to a rape charge involving a 5-year-old girl.

William Murphy entered the plea Wednesday morning in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Prosecutors said Murphy had sexual contact with the child at his Niles home in the fall of 2008. When Murphy is released from prison he will be required to register with the sheriff's department every 90 days.

What kind of punishment is 5yrs, this sicko gets 5yrs,1yr for each of the young child's 5 yrs., this child goes through therapy and a life long memory, while the sicko get free rm and board, weight rm, free health care, the parents of this child have to pay for special medical attention, and most likely he will recieve a better education than the child, than the sicko is released back into society registers with the local authorities and dose the same thing to another child within a year of his release. what kind of laws do we have in this country. Surely not an eye for an eye like the bible says. He should be put in with the regular inmates, who hate baby rapers and his privates castrated so he can never harm another child again.
