An area nursing home showed off its new expansion on Monday.
Briarfield Manor in Austintown cut the ribbon on its new rehabilitation gym. The space offers 3200 square feet for patients to practice routine activities, like shopping, doing laundry and using the stairs.
The goal is to give patients confidence they can handle their daily routine before returning home.
