Mahoning County Commissioners didn't have to look far for a new Sanitary Engineer.

Robert Lyden will take over for Joe Warino who is stepping down to become Canfield City Manager.

Warino served as the county's Sanitary Engineer for the past 12 years. Lyden has worked with the department for the last three years.

Lyden said, "We look forward to doing more in the way of maintenance of our system. A lot of sewers and plants are 50 to 70 years old. They need updated and maintenance continued."

Lyden will take over at the end of this month.
