For the 47th time, Air Force Reservists from the 910th Airlift Wing helped the Mission of Love send supplies to those in need in Honduras.
The reservists and volunteers from the Mission of Love were at the air base Friday morning, helping to load the 18 pallets of humanitarian cargo that will arrive in Honduras by next week.
"Well we are very happy the 910th has a part they can play to help the Mission Of Love, and our active duty partners get these supplies and equipment where they need to be," said Col. Fritz Linsenmeyer.
Once the supplies arrive, groups of people will help build medical clinics and orphanages.
Kathleen Price, founder and director of the Mission of Love, said she spends a good chunk of the year making calls for donations. She said she has found that people are very generous.
"Total of 47,000 pounds of humanitarian aid and including 8,000 pounds of corn, hospital beds, soccer uniforms, anything that a society needs in life," Price said.
Christmas presents for children are also included in the airlift.
"It is totally a team effort, and without each and everyone this would not be possible," Price said.
The Mission Of Love Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian aid to those in need worldwide, especially children.
