It could be a few more days before the investigation wraps up on what caused that multi-vehicle accident Wednesday in Warren Township that killed three young Marine recruits from Trumbull County.

The driver, 25-year-old Marine Sgt. Charles Keene, and a fourth recruit, Carl McDermott III, of Masury, were hospitalized with injuries, said officials with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Keene was in stable condition Thursday, according to the Marine Corps. No immediate medical update was available for McDermott.

Meanwhile, friends, family and others who knew the three young men have been mourning their loss. Many have taken to Facebook to express their sadness at the tragic accident that claimed their lives. Rest in peace pages have been formed to say goodbye.
