Trumbull County Prosecutor Dennis Watkins says it was like a weight being lifted from his shoulders...after hearing word that the U.S. Supreme Court had upheld the use of lethal injections for executions.

The decision means the high court will most likely soon dismiss a similar appeal filed by Kenneth Biros, of Brookfield. Biros was supposed to executed just as the constitutional challenge was initiated.

Biros was convicted 18 years of ago of murdering Tammy Engstrom.

Biros and the other inmates, said they believed the three drug lethal injection constitutes cruel and unusual punishment, something Watkins strongly disagrees with.

Engstrom's family members and Watkins say they are proud of the supreme court's decision and for upholding justice for Americans.

Waktins says he believes in the death penalty in extreme cases , and he believes this case is one of the worst. He will soon be asking the state supreme court to issue a new execution date for Biros.
