The Trumbull County Sheriff's office says an inmate, who allegedly tried to hang himself Sunday morning is in serious condition st a local hospital.
Sheriff Tom Altiere says his deputy found 32 year old Kurt Platzer in his cell around 6:30 a.m. Sunday morning with a bed sheet around his neck. Platzer was taken to the hospital. Officials say he was being held in the jail on a DUI charge.
