The House of Representatives' Education and Labor Committee will hold a hearing next week on the status of Delphi pensions and health care benefits thanks to requests made by Mahoning Valley Congressman Tim Ryan, D-Ohio.

Ryan has already succeeded in raising health coverage tax credits for retirees.  And despite the overwhelming attention dedicated to the health care reform debate, Ryan says he is making this issue front and center.

"We're just going to keep pushing," Ryan said. "This is another battle in a long war. But I think having some Delphi folks come down to Washington will help us building awareness and continue to build our case."

The Senate will hold a hearing on the issue next Thursday.
